Thankful Thursday

I am Grateful!
Wonderful Father, thank you for this day, I shall rejoice and be glad in it. Thank you my Lord for bringing me to a spacious place, a place of joy and love, a place of knowing. Lord you have shown me Yourself and your care for me, even my tiniest need. In You I have found a new hope and a new strength. Thank You my Lord for the plans You have for me, plans not to harm me but to give me a hope and a future. Thank you Lord Thy God for the journey You have shared with me these beginning months of a new year. You have lead me, You have motivated me, You have manifested Thy Holy Spirit in me, Lord I I am grateful. You have been there for me even in y weakest moments. When I was slipping You pulled me up and put me back on track. Your love is unfailing.

Father God Your mercy endures forever. You showered Your grace and mercy on my mother by blessing her with another birthday, thank You. I thank You dear God for giving her a true servant heart and for Your continual care of my house through her. Thank You Lord for all of my family and Thy blessings of love through them; Your kindness and compassion is ever flowing. Thank You for putting my niece on a good path. Thank You Lord God of Heaven and earth for my job You are forever my Source. Father I magnify Your Holy Name, You are God who is able to do all things, upon You I can cast all my cares. In You I can place all my trust I can count on You Lord. Gracious is my God, forever shall Thy praise be upon my lips.


Thank You Adonai, my Lord.
Thank You ELOHIM, My power and might.
Thank You JEHOVAH-SHAMMAH, my ever present Lord.
Thank You JEHOVAH-ROHI, my Shepherd.
Thank You JEHOVAH-JIREH, my Provider.
Thank You Jehovah, my Lord.
Thank You EL-ROI, God who sees me.
Thank You EL-ELYON, Most High God.

Thankful Thursday-He Lives

Luke 24:1-8
On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: 'The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.'" Then they remembered his words.

Today I give thanks because He is life.
"I am the Bread of Life" John 6:35

Today I give thanks because He defeated death.
Eight days after His death He said to Thomas, "Put your finger here, and look at my hands. Put your hand into the wound in my side. Don't be faithless any longer. John 20:27

Today I give thanks for with the same power God raise Christ from death, He shall raise me.
"Since we have been united with Him in His death, we will also be raised to life as He was. Romans 6:5

Today I give thanks because Christ gives eternal life. "for you have given Him authority over everyone.
"He gives eternal life to each one you have given Him." John 17:2

Today I give thanks because the tomb was empty.
"Then some women from our group of his followers were at His tomb early this morning, and they came back with an amazing report. they said His body was missing, and they had seen angels who tol them Jesus is alive. Some of our men ran out to see, and sure enough, His body was gone, just as the women had said." Luke 24:22-24

Today I give thanks because death couldn’t hold Him down.
He has risen, He lives and because He lives I live, Thank You Jesus, Lord and Savior.

Thankful Thursdays---God's Power

Have you never heard or understood? Don't you know that the LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth? He never grows faint or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding. He gives power to those who are tired and worn out; he offers strength to the weak. Isaiah 40:28 -29
Today I give thanks for the power of Christ which strengthen me. Power which never grows faint or weary.

Our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. We are no longer slaves to sin. Romans 6:6
I give thanks for the power of Christ which defeated the power of sin and it no longer holds me in slavery;

So this is the point: The law no longer holds you in its power, because you died to its power when you died with Christ on the cross. And now you are united with the one who was raised from the dead. As a result, you can produce good fruit, that is, good deeds for God. Romans 7:4
I give thanks for the power of Christ which produce good fruit in me.

For the Kingdom of God is not just fancy talk; it is living by God's power.
1 Corinthians 4:20
I give thanks for the power of Christ which shows me the Kingdom of God is not just fancy talk but living by God’s power;

For God is working in you, giving you the desire to obey him and the power to do what pleases him. Philippians 2:13
I give thanks because God is working in me, truly giving me the desire to obey Him and the power to do those things which are pleasing to Him.

Just think how much more the blood of Christ will purify our hearts from deeds that lead to death so that we can worship the living God. For by the power of the eternal Spirit, Christ offered himself to God as a perfect sacrifice for our sins. Hebrews 9:14
I give thanks for the power of the precious blood of Christ;
I give thanks for the power of the blood of Christ which purifies my heart from deeds that lead to death
I give thanks for the power to worship the living God.
I give thanks Heavenly Father for by the power of the eternal Spirit, Christ offered Himself to You as a perfect sacrifice for my sins.

I give thanks for the power of God which draws me closer to Him daily I give thanks for the power of God which takes my faults, issues, messiness, junk, filth, dirt and cast them aside and reaches down to me in love and compassion; meeting me where I am at my need.

Lord I simply with a loving heart gives thanks today for your power which is able to do all things, anything and everything. Jesus in Your Mighty Name I pray. Amen

Today I give thanks because God takes great delight in me, quiets me with His love and rejoice over me with singing.
The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing." Zephaniah 3:17

I give thanks because God will not forget me He has inscribed me on the palm of His hand.
See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me. Isaiah 49:16

I give thanks because no one and no power can snatch me from the Hand of God. I am His.
I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. John 10:28

I give thanks because I have eternal life through the shed blood of Jesus.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

I give thanks for joy which comes after all weeping.
His anger lasts for a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime! Weeping may go on all night, but joy comes with the morning.
Psalm 30:5


I give thanks because God’s goodness, and love pursue me and I will dwell in the Lord’s House forever.

Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the LORD forever. Psalm 23:6

I give thanks for the wonderful wisdom of God which He freely gives generously to me when I ask.
But to those called by God to salvation, both Jews and Gentiles, Christ is the mighty power of God and the wonderful wisdom of God. 1Co 1:24

I give thanks because I am pure and holy through Christ.
God alone made it possible for you to be in Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made Christ to be wisdom itself. He is the one who made us acceptable to God. He made us pure and holy, and he gave himself to purchase our freedom. 1Co 1:30

I give thanks because I can cling to Jesus ever trusting Him and because He is my High Priest now setting at the Right Hand of God.
That is why we have a great High Priest who has gone to heaven, Jesus the Son of God. Let us cling to him and never stop trusting him. Heb 4:14

I give thanks for light that rain down from more stars than I can count reminding me I am one of Abraham’s descendents.
I give thanks for a book that touches my heart and moves me to want to be more.
I give thanks for the sound of laughter.
I give thanks new beginnings.
I give thanks for the past.
I give thanks for mail to encourage my heart.
I give thanks for surprises.
I give thanks for alone time.

I give thanks for a shower at the right temperature.
I give thanks for coffee with chocolate creamer.
I give thanks for chocolate.
I give thanks for my favorite CDs’
I give thanks for my home.
I give thanks for my family.
I give thanks for my daughter who helps me not to take life too seriously and to have fun along the way. This journey is so fill of wonderful things all put here by God to help me see Him, hear Him, know Him, embrace Him and embrace life for He is Life.

Thankful Thursdays- Jesus Prays

Jesus Prays for All Believers

For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified.
"My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. "Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world. "Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you have sent me.
I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them." John 17:19-26


I give thanks today because Christ took the time to pray for me.
He had me on His mind, in His thoughts. He brought me before the Father that I might abide in unity with them, become one, that I would know He loved me and know the Father through Him.

I give thanks because God cares.

I give thanks for prayer, when I need the Lord all I have to do is lift my voice in prayer and when words won’t flow from my mouth my heart cries out and God hears.

I give thanks for hymns, psalms and songs which lift my Savior in praise. And when I can’t follow the tune or forget the words, I just have to make a joyful noise and it is music to the Father’s ears. Thanks to musicians, song writers, singers who put my heart to words through the power of the Holy Spirit.

I give thanks for true moments of worship, when God allows me in His Presence and allow me to touch Him, know Him and honor Him; moments when God takes me to a place where we become one and I am in awe because He would take me to such a place, His sanctuary.
I give thanks for strength that reaches down from heaven and empower me to do the impossible.

I give thanks because God’s has shown me He hears my heart and He approves of even my smallest attempts to be pleasing in His sight.

I am thankful for quiet moments
I am thankful for sacred spaces
I am thankful for the quiet breeze brushing my cheeks letting me know God is near
I am thankful for the joy of a walk with a friend who lets me be quiet as my heart talks with God
I am thankful for this same friend who makes me stop and smell the flowers, and see the colors on the trees
I am thankful for frozen lakes
I am thankful when I can stay in the moment and enjoy it.

Let them offer sacrifices of thanksgiving and sing joyfully about His glorious acts. Psalm 107:22

I am thankful for His power in action
I am thankful because He calms my storms to a whisper and stills the waves.
I am thankful the Lord stands at my right hand to protect me.
I am thankful God keeps my feet from stumbling.
I am thankful the Lord is my shield and helper.
I am thankful the Lord goes before me and follows me.
I am thankful for the graciousness of God and for His unfailing love.
I am thankful for breath that I may praise the Lord.

I am thankful in the Lord’s House I can leave my all on the altar; worries, doubts, insecurities, sickness, work, family, friends, associates, problems, troubles, trails and tribulations.
I am thankful in the Lord’s House I can hear a testimony for my soul

Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? 1 Corinthians 6:19

Together, we are His house, built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus Himself. We are carefully joined together in Him, becoming a holy temple for the Lord. Ephesians 2:20-21

My Thankful Thursday Prayer
Lord my God I thank you for making me a temple, a place where You dwell; A place where You Lord are molding me to be holy and acceptable to you. Help me Lord to truly show my gratefulness by being a temple dedicated to You, performing Your service which others may see and desire to be a part of Your Kingdom. Let me be a temple of peace, joy, love, kindness, compassion, humility, gentleness and righteousness. Let me be a temple whose light shines forth in darkness. Let me be a temple which cries out in the wilderness, preparing the way for You my Savior. In the blessed and awesome, righteous Name of Jesus I pray. Amen

I am thankful for God’s promises.

I am thankful because God sees ahead of me, the places I don’t even yet know exist; but God does and His eye guides me in the way He would have me to go.

And He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Revelation 21:5I am thankful because every day I have the opportunity to be new, letting go of the old, all which does not serve me in growing closer to God and being all God would have me to be.

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.Matthew 6:33
I give thanks because when I make God my priority I don’t have to worry about need.

The Lord your God in your midst, The mighty One will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love He will rejoice over you with singing. Zephaniah 3:17

I am thankful because God is not only in my midst; He saves, rejoices, quiets me with His unfailing love and sings over me.


Ask in my name, according to my will, and he’ll most certainly give it to you. Your joy will be a river overflowing its banks! John 16:24

I am thankful because I have a river of joy, so much joy it overflows my banks.

You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13
I am thankful because God made it so easy to find Him; I just have to seek Him with my whole heart.

God’s Unfailing Love- The Lord leads me with unfailing love. Psalm 25:10
God’s Forgiveness- You forgave the guilt of your people—yes, you covered all their sins. Psalm 85:2
God’s Blessings- The Lord will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right. Psalm 84: 11
God’s Wisdom- All who obeys his commandments will grow in wisdom. Psalm 111:10
God’s Grace and Mercy- How gracious and merciful is our Lord! Psalm 111:4
God’s Righteousness- His righteousness never fails. Psalm 11:3
God’s Promises-He keeps every promise forever. Psalm 146:6

God chose me before He laid the foundations of the world. What a testimony. What a God. Oh how good is our God. I will praise the Lord and may everyone on earth bless His Holy Name forever and ever. Psalm 145:21

Today I am thankful for life
I am thankful for a God whom keeps me in awe
I am thankful for a God that rides on the very heavens to come to me when I call.
I am thankful for my daughter and I am thankful that daily God puts His everlasting arms around her and keep her while I am away from her.
I am thankful for the sweet personality of my daughter
I am thankful for arriving safely home today, even though sleep was in my eyes
I am thankful for being appreciated for teaching some women today
I am thankful for my job with it stresses and disappointments- it has helped me to take a closer look at me this week and what I need to do to be better or move on
I am thankful for gifted Christian women authors whose words often make me look at my stuff which I would rather leave hidden under the rock.
I am thankful for Rachael whose bible study open a whole new world to me and provided a way for me to share and prayerfully minister to others.
I am thankful for friends who tell the truth
I am thankful for Jesus and His unconditional love.Please visit others
