Jesus High Priest

For this reason he had to be made like his brothers in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people. Hebrews 2:17

Jesus knows all; you can not experience anything in which He has not gone through. God left nothing undone, He sent Jesus as a man in order that He might become our High Priest. Jesus felt sorrows, loneliness, pain, death, ridicule, injustice, homelessness, temptations, rejection and all the emotions we experience. He was abused, beaten and bruised. His family didn’t believe in Him, His friends left Him in His greatest moment of need, one betrayed Him. He took on our all as He walked the earth and He felt as we feel. We therefore can go boldly to the throne of grace and we can pour out our all there. We can share every hurt, pain, doubt, fear and experience with Him and He will have compassion upon for us for He know exactly what we are suffering, He bears the name Suffering Servant. He dropped heaven’s divinity, left it entirely so He could be all you require. Don’t let His work be for naught, don’t insult Him by trying to carry your own burdens, take Him at His word, put your trust in Him and know He will work it out for you. He can handle every trouble, every tribulation, every hardship, every storm, every fire, every flood; every trail is for Him to show you His power and to bring glory to the Father. He is our High Priest, sitting at the right hand of the Father waiting for you to show up at the throne so the Father can show out in the earth. Make known the God you serve, so others will cry what must I do to be saved? Let others see your God so they may desire the kingdom. Magnify your God, exalt His Holy Name, do all you can to put the GLORY of our Father, our Lord, our great God on display.

Go Deeper
Therefore, holy brothers, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, the apostle and high priest whom we confess. Hebrews 3:1

We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where Jesus, who went before us, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek. Hebrews 6:19-20

Such a high priest meets our need--one who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens. Hebrews 7:26

Prayer
Most High God, thank you, thank you and thank You for Jesus our High Priest. Jesus who stands holy, blameless, pure and set a-part from sinners, yet He knows all we go through and pours out His compassion and love upon us when we come to Him with all our cares. Gladly He bears our burdens and anxieties. Father help us to show the unknowing You our great God by bringing glory to Your Name which we do when we let You handle our grief and sorrows, our pain and hurts, our troubles and trails. Be glorified in my life Lord. In Jesus sweet Name I pray.
