Stillness
“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still." Exodus 14:14
Jesus our Lord and Savior faced many battles while He walked in the earth. None of these battles frighten Jesus or deter Him from His purpose. Jesus understood nothing would happen before God declared it and He knew God was His shield and protector. Scripture teaches us Jesus regularly if not daily went to the mountains to pray, I don’t believe Jesus was praying to the Father about winning the battles, He knew God was fighting for Him and He didn’t have to fret over this small matter. I believe Jesus spent His time still before God not only gaining strength, guidance, focus and refreshment but telling God how much He loved Him and because of His great love He possess an even greater desire to complete the work God had given to Him.
This picture truly speaks a thousand words to my heart, the greatest is getting quiet and still before our God. All that faced Jesus here we see Him at peace, enjoying His very own creation while in close communion with the Father. Here Jesus tells us to draw away from the crowds, the stress and pressures of this ungodly world and focus on the most important thing, our relationship with God. In the midst of troubles, tribulations and trails there is no better place to be than in sacred communion with the Father. Stillness is vital to our relationship with God, it is in stillness intimacy comes. Intimacy breeds trust and trust removes doubts, fears and worry. Seek such a resting place for yourself often and fret not “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still."

Powerful post and a great reminder to all of us!
Godchaser, thank you so much for your prayer and kind words for me. This is twice you have had to pray for me and I love you for it. As long as the Lord can glorify Himself in my bald head, all will not have been lost in vain. God does have a purpose in this. Perhaps it is for you to pray for me. This is just horrible. But God is good. All the time. Thank you again for your prayer. God answered the last one and I have no doubt that He will answer this one. Good night, Godchaser, and thanks my sister.

Sometimes it is so hard to be still. Thank you for this WFW.
Thank you from me too, as it's the second post I've read today about being still, and focusing on God. Guess I better take the hint!

wow, a very powerful post. it's one of those verse that makes me go "I don't remember that! wow!" it totally speaks volumes to me today!
Be still and Know that I am GOD! You miss out on so much when you don't take the time to "be still" and love on JESUS. To bask in GOD's holy prescence. Thanks for letting us know the importance of being "still". Also, thanks for your blessed comment on my post.
Be Blessed,
LaTonya
