Celebration

This is also posted at My Sabbath Rest for Spiritual Sunday. The slide show is my tribute not just to the birth of Christ, our Savior but His life. Jesus is much much more than one day He is a lifetime. He had a life dedicated to bringing eternal life to us. we cannot keep Him in a box where we focus on Him just one day. We prepare for this one day for months at the very least for one month. The day comes and we ask why, all that for one day. Jesus does not require us to celebrate His birth, He does not require we spend money for gifts we can't afford. He does not require we eat until we can't stuff another bite in our mouth. Jesus desires more than one day, He desires we focus on Him daily and celebrate His life daily by walking as God would have us. He desires us to give the free gift of love. He desires we spend money on those less fortunate and give in His glorious name, that the Father will be glorified. It is my desire to not only keep Christ in my Christmas but to make Him Christmas. I invite you to join me and pray for me as I too get caught up in the gifts, decorations etc. I love this time of year for these reasons, but I seek to bring change to my celebration of Christmas and to remember why and whom I celebrate. The slide show is my tribute to My Savior who gave me more than one day but an entire ministry and He did it all that I might have a relationship with God the Father and receive a kingdom which never ends. It is my reminder to make Christ Christmas, and to keep Christmas in my heart everyday until I no longer have to remind myself Jesus is the Reason for Christmas, because He is so much a part of me Christmas is just an extension of my lifted glory to God.

I pray you enjoy the slides of this small tribute to All Jesus is, more than one day on the calendar.

What a beautiful slideshow! I know for sure that, as we have focused more on Christ and less on "things" this year, we have received so much more. SO much more! Thanks for stopping by my blog... and we can continue to encourage each other to keep looking UP in 2009!

What a beautiful slide show and powerful post. Thank you for your words and for sharing your heart. So true - we spend a lot of time focused on this day and I love, though, that this is not all He is. What an awesome opportunity to share who He is with the world!! Blessed Christmas!
