God's Beautiful Woman

I have been reading Elizabeth George
“Beautiful in God’s Eyes” I thought I would share some of last night reading.
The How-To of Beauty – Your Spiritual Life.
Elizabeth asks us to first consider our prayer closet and she call this the place where we nurture our love for the Lord (Proverbs 31:30). She further states this is the closet we should visit first each day”. God called to His holy city, “Awake, awake; put on your strength, O Zion; put on your beautiful garments (Isaiah 52:1)! He calls you and me to do the same, and the most beautiful garment in our wardrobe of virtues is our love for Him.
Other garments we can daily choose from our closet are humility, honesty, generosity, peace, gentleness, compassion, kindness and faithfulness. As we cover ourselves in these garments we say to God I love you and today I will walk out that love.

A woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised” (Proverbs 31:30). She is the one who is truly beautiful in God’s eyes!
But be sure to fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things he has done for you. (1 Samuel 12:24) While in your closet with the Lord be sure to get directions for service for the day; Request of the Lord how He would have you serve Him and put on an attitude to please God and not man.

When you emerge from the sacred communion of your prayer closet, you’ll be wearing the clothing of righteousness. You will have exchanged your spirit of heaviness for God’s festive garment of praise (Isaiah 61:3). You’ll also be ready for battle, having donned the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:12-18)

And no one will fail to notice the fragrance of Christ and the aroma of life in Him (2 Corinthians
