Power Word of the Day

Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. Romans 5:3-5

Reflection

1-Have you reached a place in your relationship with God where you can rejoice in your suffering? Or are you still not able to look past your moment of suffering to the One who can handle your situation?
2- Can you look back over your moments of suffering and see how God help you persevere?
3- Does your character reflect that of Christ? What helps to change your character and make it more Christ-like?
4- Our suffering has lead to our developing the ability to press on in times of trouble. Christ pressed on to the Cross, He saw beyond His suffering to a greater hope, our reconciliation to our Creator. Are you seeing the hope we have in Christ?
5- Why are you not disappointed in your hope? What has God done to seal your hope?

God has poured out His love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit whom He has given to us, to help us in our suffering and because we have the Holy Spirit we can rejoice because we know we are being helped to develop our character until we reflect Christ in all circumstances, knowing our hope is greater than our suffering.
