Still Not Your Voice

I seek your voice my God at the dawn of the morning.
I listen for Your voice as the sun rises to high noon;
I hunger for Your voice in the evening.
Your voice I want to hear as the midnight hour approaches.
I seek Your voice O Lord when I wake in the night.
Your voice is my focus; it is my light in the dark time as I wait for daybreak and the rising of the Morning Star in my heart. (2 Peter 1:19)
Do not be silent before me; leave me not alone for I desire Your Presence.
Without You my life is like a desert place never feeling the rain.
Without you I flutter about like a bird who can’t find her nest.
Still not Your voice O Lord for than you leave me in a desolate space. Wandering around in circles like the Israelites, thirsting for a land to call home.
Still not Your voice Lord for than the enemy comes believing I have no shield, no refuge. Let him not gloat in victory, for You are always my protection and my fortress.
When I call You open Your wings and hide me in complete secrecy. You O lord are my strength, my strong tower, my shelter in times of storm.
Still not Your voice, be not quiet in my life,
I will be quiet listening for the soft wind as it carries Your voice
Whispering to my soul come glorify the Lord,
Whispering to my heart come magnify the Lord.
Whispering to my spirit see the Glory of God.
