Not like I planned Part 2

Key Verse:

"This Moses whom they disowned saying, 'Who made you a ruler and a judge?' is the one whom God sent to be both a ruler and a deliverer with the help of the angel who appeared to him in the thorn bush." Acts 7:35 NASB

Moses supposed the Israelites knew and would accept Him as their deliverer. They did not. Things were not going as Moses planned. The lesson points out Moses begin to question him self once he was rejected by the Israelites.
Rejection can lead us to question our call in ministry, in work and in life. It can lead us to thoughts of giving up. Moses was stunned for a while but kept His faith understanding God’s timing is different from ours. It is important we keep our faith when things don’t go as we plan. It is important we maintain the right attitude even though we may not understand or even believe we miss heard God altogether. Initially we may even harbor resentment and bitterness toward individuals who may have contributed to our plans being waylaid. As children of God it is important we forgive quickly and as stated by the Preacher Wife we must trust God with the outcome for it will always be as He planned.

1.I am going to present to you a little acrostic to begin our discussion today. What is your latest NLIP? (Not Like I Planned?) Work never goes as I planned. I never seem to accomplish what I would like daily.

2. How did you react to your NLIP? Are you still upset about it? Happy about it? Baffled by it? Explain. I must admit I am usually baffled, some days are because I have limited control over the days events and those days in which I have more control I am usually upset with myself.

3. Have you ever attempted to step into an area of ministry and found your desire rejected? Did this cause you to question God and yourself? Perhaps distrust what you perceived to be your calling?
Yes there have been a number of times when I have questioned my calling and yes I question if I was hearing God correctly and this has resulted in distrust of self.

4. Do you harbor any bitterness towards any individual or situation which you believe waylaid your best laid plans?
No

5. Have you had a life experience or trial that left you with a shaken faith because it ended in an NLIP? Please share if you feel free. Yes not once but twice in the same area, in the end I decided I wasn’t getting the lesson god wanted me to and He had a totally different plan for me.

6. Based on Moses' response of faith to his own rejection, how will you re-evaluate your own experiences or look at future ones differently if a NLIP presents itself?
I hope I have grown enough I will put my faith in God and know His plans are always better than mine and He sees where I can’t. I trust God and am hopeful I will be able to walk my talk.

HEYYY,
Love your post, and isn't it funny Sunday after church it was cloudy and i was wanting a nap. my hubby goes into take a nap, it sounded sooo good, but I kept thinking about stuff I needed (wanted) to do, I went and laid down with him and within 3 to 5 minutes I was up, said nope can't go to sleep got stuff I want to do and to get it done so I could get alittle more word. Just didn't get enough at church. So I made a pot of chicken soup, I made spaghetti, and I made chicken & yellow rice.. yes I cooked all that, the house smelled soooo good all those smells, why did I do all that cause I wanted to not have to cook on monday. Mondays fly by so fast, by the time I get dinner cooked and cleaned up its time to go to bed. I do not like that.
But I was really proud of myself, so I could get stuff done and be able to find time to sit and read the word. The Lord gave me the energy to conquer my tasks.

Hope things are going good for you!
Loveeeee your posts
Hugggsss to you

I hope u don't mind me posting twice. :)

1.I am going to present to you a little acrostic to begin our discussion today. What is your latest NLIP? (Not Like I Planned?) I got a new computer at home and it just is not like my other one, nothing works as good as before.

2. How did you react to your NLIP? Are you still upset about it? Happy about it? Baffled by it? Explain. I must admit I was upset, I cried, I fussed, I was not too happy for sure.

3. Have you ever attempted to step into an area of ministry and found your desire rejected? Did this cause you to question God and yourself? Perhaps distrust what you perceived to be your calling?
yesyesyes, In our church it just seems as though nobody wants to get involved, until you do, then everybody thinks they can do it better. I would then ask my Lord whyyyy why me, am I not worthy, then I would tell my husband, I quit I don't want to do this anymore, then he would tell me did Jesus quit on you!!!!! Sometimes those wake up calls are like slaps in the face. But the Lord told me he gave this to me and I cannot step down till he says. Today I am so much better with this. I have learned so much

4. Do you harbor any bitterness towards any individual or situation which you believe waylaid your best laid plans?
at First I did, but then with the help of my husband and my pastor showing me that the devil was doing this, like I said what I have learned, wow, Thats why I stay in the word, I am sooo Hungry! hungry for the word.

5. Have you had a life experience or trial that left you with a shaken faith because it ended in an NLIP? Please share if you feel free. yes a few times, but I have this wonderful husband that helps me with these situations.

6. Based on Moses' response of faith to his own rejection, how will you re-evaluate your own experiences or look at future ones differently if a NLIP presents itself? I have grown and I see that I have to keep the faith. Faith is "believe" & "act on it" I know he has better plans coming for me. We also have to remember Patience is a key as well.
